The Director of the C40 Summit Division (hereinafter referred to as 'Director') shall treat customers' Personal information with care while abiding by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information Maintained by Public Agencies. Under the Privacy Policy, the Director shall inform customers how and for what purposes it uses their The Director shall announce any amendments in the Privacy Policy on the News&Notices section (or individual notifications)of the website.

This rule will become effectice as of May 18,2008.
 
01.Personal Information Subject to Collection
Most services on the website are available without registering for membership. However, the following information is required for membership, consultation and service requests.
Items subject to collection: name, gender, password, date of birth, telephone number, email.

02.Pupose of Colleting and Using Personal Information
Most services provided by the website are available without registering for membership. However, the minimum personal information for membership and password is required for online member services. Additional information about members are not collected other than the information that members voluntarily provided.
The Director utilizes the collected information for the following purposes.
Confirmation of the basic personal information for online registration and schedule.
Identification of members.

The Director discards personal information immediately after the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved
04.Procedure and Methods of Personal Information Deletion
The Director deletes personal information immediately after the purpose of its use has been achieved. The deletion procedure and methods are as follows.
Deletion Procedure :
Information that users insert when registering for membership is relocated to a special database (a eparate special file for paper documents) and stored for a legally permitted period of time for specific purposes (see ¡°Holding and usage period of personal information¡±) before being deleted.
Personal information that has been placed in a special database is not used for other purposes, except for legally required ones.
Deletion Method
- Personal information stored in electronic files is deleted using technical methods that prevent its restoration.
- Paper-based personal information is destroyed through a shredder or by fire.
05.Provision of Personal Information
The Director, in principle, does not disclose users¡¯ personal information to others. Exceptions can be made in the following cases:
At user¡¯s prior consent
When required by investigating agency according to legal procedures and methods.
06.Security Measures
The website operates several security programs to prevent any collection and reading of personal information by others by unfair means. The Director is accountable for the protection of personal information and security assurance.

08.Rights of Users and Legal Representatives and Methods of Exercising Those Rights
Users and legal representatives can view and modify at any time their registered personal information or the personal information of children under 14 who they represent. They can also request that they be unsubscribed. They can be unsubscribed immediately after making contact to a person in charge of personal information management through a letter, phone or email.
When users request that errors in their personal information be corrected, they cannot use or access their information until correction is completed. If a user¡¯s personal information containing an error has already been provided to a third party, the corrected information will be provided to the third party immediately.

Note that services may not be well provided if you reject all cookies.
10.Privacy Complaints & Privacy support
Users can file their complaints regarding privacy protection to the above-mentioned department and the person. The Director has designated a department and a person in charge of privacy policy that also processes customers¡¯ complaints with regard to personal information.
